Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting personal needs and comfort while adhering to hospital policies.

Duties include taking and recording vital signs, monitoring intake and output, assisting with hygiene, applying simple dressings, and helping maintain a safe, clean environment with stocked supplies.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational/technical training and 6+ months of related experience.
• RI State Nursing Assistant license or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take and record patient vital signs and other measurements as indicated.
• Check and record intake and output as ordered.
• Assist with personal hygiene to promote patient’s comfort.
• Assist RN in caring for seriously ill patients or in complicated treatments.
• Maintain patient’s medical records in an orderly manner and document all care provided.
• Observe assigned patients and report any issues to RN/Team Leader.
• Maintain current knowledge by attending seminars and in-services.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
