Job summary

Tanglewood Nursing & Rehabilitation in Topeka, KS is looking for a compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our caregiving team. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor conditions, and work with licensed staff to ensure comfort, safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA certification recognized by Kansas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Basic knowledge of patient care and safety standards.
• Ability to pass a background check and health screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as directed by nursing staff.
• Provide mobility assistance, including helping residents move safely around the facility and repositioning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores.
• Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing team promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by following infection control protocols and facility policies.
• Support nursing staff with medical procedures and documentation as required.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and compassionate care.
