Minnesota Veterans Home-Luverne is hiring a Part-Time Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centered care in a long-term care setting. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, safety, and quality of care for residents, with shifts available on days or evenings.

Minimum qualifications include MDH Nursing Assistant Registry with options for course enrollment and completion within four months. A part-time hire may be eligible for a $2,500 new hire bonus under AFSCME.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Nursing Assistant with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Nursing Assistant Registry OR enrollment in an approved Nursing Assistant training course and completion within four months of hire.
• Must be 18 years of age at time of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take clear notes.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care for residents in a long-term nursing facility.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintain safety and quality of care.
• Support residents to reach their highest functional capabilities in a respectful environment.
• Promote caring, respect, and values for individuals in daily care.
