Job summary

Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs’ Bemidji Veterans Home is seeking part-time Certified Nursing Assistants (HST-CNA) to deliver compassionate care to residents. The role supports ADLs, safety, and quality of life in a long-term care setting with multiple shifts and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Be currently registered as a Nursing Assistant with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Nursing Assistant Registry.
• Be willing and able to enroll in the Veterans Home’s Nursing Assistant training course at hire and become registered within four months.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take clear notes.
• Preferred: Current MDH Nursing Assistant Registry and experience in ADLs.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care for residents in a long-term nursing facility.
• Assist with activities of daily living, ensure safety and quality of care, and help residents attain their highest functional capabilities.
