Job summary

Regency at Waterford in Waterford, MI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct resident care under supervision of licensed nurses. You will assist residents with ADLs, monitor health, and support a safe, comfortable environment.

The role requires a State Tested Nursing Assistant certification or approved CNA training, a high school diploma, and adherence to infection control and care procedures.

Qualifications

• Meets all state and federal criminal background check requirements.
• Must be a State Tested Nursing Assistant in good standing or graduate of an approved CNA training program and pass a state competency exam within 120 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and lift equipment as applicable.
• Respond promptly to call lights, resident needs, and changes in condition; report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precautions at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment.

Education
