The role requires current Nursing Assistant Certification or equivalent coursework and prior long-term care or acute care exposure. We emphasize patient safety, documentation accuracy, and teamwork in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Current Nursing Assistant Certification required or 75 hours in an accredited nursing program to include first rotation, OR active EMT/Paramedic/Patient Care Technician/Assistant/Home Health Aide/Medical Assistant certification, OR Nurse Aide program completion.
• Out-of-state CNA licensure accepted if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care based on established standards under direction of a licensed nurse.
• Collects basic health data as directed by a licensed nurse.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, toileting, nutrition, ambulation).
• Prioritizes patient care and seeks assistance when needed.
• Maintains patient dignity and provides respectful care.
• Documents patient information thoroughly and timely per policy.
• Keeps work environment clean and safe and communicates safety concerns.
• Participates in staff education and orientation for new employees.
• Identifies and reports potential patient safety risks to reduce errors.
• Assists with eating and drinking per care plans and records intake as required.
• Measures and records vital signs per care plan.
