Job summary

Riverdale-Rehab-and-Nursing-Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide individualized care in a long-term care setting. You will assist residents with daily activities, monitor health needs, and support care planning while upholding rights and dignity.

The role requires a state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification, current CPR, and a commitment to resident comfort, safety, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education meeting state certification requirements
• Must hold current Nursing Assistant Certification in the state in which they are practicing
• Must be knowledgeable of resident rights and ensure an atmosphere which allows for privacy, dignity and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment.
• Current CPR (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized attention to promote residents' highest possible physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing
• Be familiar with each resident's care plan and support care planning with observations and information for the care team
• Assist residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, turning, lifting, and mobility as required
• Maintain resident comfort, privacy, and dignity during care delivery and interact warmly with residents
• Report suspected abuse or rights violations promptly to licensed staff
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report equipment or lighting deficiencies
• Protect residents' personal belongings and report any missing items
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to licensed personnel
• Provide skin care to prevent pressure ulcers and related issues
• Respond promptly to call bells and assist with activities of daily living
• Assist with admissions and transfers, and escort residents to appointments
• Complete CNAs records using proper ADL coding per policy
• Follow safety and infection control procedures including hand washing and gloves

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Nursing Assistant Certification (state-approved)

CPR certification (American Heart Association)
