Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide patient care under RN supervision. You will respond to call lights, document care, and help maintain a clean, safe environment across units.

This role requires completion of a CNA program, current CNA license, and CPR/BLS certification within 90 days. Strong problem solving, teamwork, and dependability are essential to deliver compassionate care and support patient needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
• CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by educational scope, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures.
• Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
• Floats to various units based on identified patient care needs.
• Training/precepting new partners in collaboration with unit educator.
• Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel.
