Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL is seeking a healthcare professional to provide direct patient care and perform critical clinical tasks in the ED setting. Responsibilities include responding to call lights, documenting care, maintaining a clean environment, and assisting with procedures under physician supervision.

The role requires completion of a CNA program or a medically accredited MA/EMT/Paramedic program, with CPR/BLS certification within 90 days. Competitive benefits offered.

Formación

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Graduate of ABHES/CAAHEP medical assistant program or accredited postsecondary program.
• Graduate of an EMT or Paramedic program.

Responsabilidades

• Provide patient care per routine and standards; follow policies.
• Answer call lights promptly and relay messages to staff.
• Document care provided according to standards.
• Maintain a clean patient environment and stocked supplies.
• Process orders accurately and answer phones as needed.
• Assist ED physicians and gather equipment for procedures.
• Perform CPR and use Lucas device during resuscitations.
• Start IVs and perform venipunctures as directed.
• Assist with chest tube insertions and splint applications.
• Transport non-monitored patients to inpatient units.
