Mercyhealth in California is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide delegated patient care per scope of practice and hospital policies. You will respond to call lights, document care, and maintain a clean environment while supporting multiple units as needed.

The role requires completion of a CNA program, current CNA certification, and CPR/BLS within 90 days. You will train new partners alongside unit educators and participate in performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Completions of a CNA program and active CNA certification.
• CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Experience with patient care and basic medical procedures recommended.

Responsabilités

• Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by scope and policies.
• Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
• Maintains supplies, including stocking and ordering new supplies.
• Floats to various units based on patient care needs.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities.
• Training/precepting new partners with unit educator.
• Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel.
• Bladder scanning procedure reviewed and competency checked.
• Attaching patient to remote telemetry or bedside cardiac monitor.
• Managing and reporting collection devices and catheters (Colostomy/ileostomy etc.).
• Nasogastric tubes to suction; Surgical drains under RN direction.
• Discontinue invasive devices under RN direction.
