Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant to provide direct patient care in our facility in Belleville, NJ. You will assist with hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, and safety, while documenting accurately and responding to call lights.

Responsibilities include turning residents, taking vital signs, and supporting admission routines, with opportunities for career growth and comprehensive benefits for full- and part-time status employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the state you will be working.
• CPR certification, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques with assistance when necessary.
• Ability to transfer and move patients who vary in ability to assist, weighing 200+ lbs.
• Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety as directed.
• Documents information into patient records per guidelines and reports to Charge Nurse.
• Assists with admission processes, vital signs, and resident orientation.
• Turns and repositions residents to prevent pressure injuries and ensure comfort.
• Performs approved procedures and maintains equipment and supplies on the unit.
