Job summary

Westview Healthcare Center is seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care and assist residents according to individualized care plans. This role requires adherence to facility policies, prompt reporting of changes, and accurate documentation while ensuring resident safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include identifying residents, assisting with daily activities, transporting residents as needed, and supporting the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Certified Nursing Assistant license in accordance with state laws.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and to write reports and procedures.
• Mathematical skills to apply fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical tasks.
• Reasoning abilities to solve practical problems and handle various instructions.
• CPR certification preferred; must maintain licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before administering treatments or meals using wristbands or photo IDs.
• Report changes in a resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
• Record entries accurately on flow sheets, notes, and charts.
• Maintain resident safety and confidentiality of health information.
• Assist residents with daily activities and personal care as trained.
• Follow facility policies for exposure to blood and body fluids and dispose of waste properly.
• Help prepare residents for medical tests and transport to different areas as needed.
