The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Sanford Health's Robbinsdale Specialty Care Community, a 96-bed senior care facility, delivers resident-centered care under an RN's supervision. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
• A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of an RN.
• Assists with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, and psychosocial support.
• Assists residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking using correct techniques and equipment.
• Documents resident interactions and communicates changing conditions to the charge nurse.
• Provides housekeeping, laundry, meals assistance and supports wellness/recreational programs.
