Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.

Responsibilities

• The NA serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assists residents with basic health care needs including daily living activities, transfers, mobility, vital signs, meals, and documentation.
