Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a CNA for Oncology floor on a full-time day shift. You will perform basic patient care activities under RN direction, assisting with bathing, positioning, mobility, hygiene, and comfort while respecting privacy and dignity.

You must hold a California CNA certification and BLS, with the hospital providing training and opportunities to contribute to patient care across adolescent to geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Minimum six months recent experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant course preferred.
• Valid CNA certification, BLS, LA Fire Card, and ARC within 30 days of hire.
• Work involves adolescent through geriatric patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, individualized basic care activities under RN direction.
• Assist with bathing, oral care, positioning, line changes and ambulating.
• Observe and report patient issues to LVN or RN and ensure patient safety.
• Reinforce patient/family education and adapt to age-specific needs.
• Maintain privacy, dignity, and compassionate communication with patients and families.

Education

High School graduate or equivalent, preferred

Completion of Nursing Assistant course, preferred
