Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a certified nursing assistant to provide patient-centered care under the supervision of nurses and physicians. You will collaborate with the Nursing Team on the assigned unit and uphold Service Excellence standards in daily work.

Requirements include a CNA certificate, high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification; CPI training within six months is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• CNA certification is required for this role.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain during orientation.
• De-escalation training (CPI) within six months of employment where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent patient-centered care under RN or physician supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and monitor patient needs.
• Collaborate with nursing team to ensure quality patient care.
• Support service excellence standards in all interactions with patients and families.
