Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a certified nursing assistant to provide patient-centered care under the supervision of nurses and physicians. You will collaborate with the Nursing Team on the assigned unit and uphold Service Excellence standards in daily work.

Requirements include a CNA certificate, high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification; CPI training within six months is preferred.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
CNA certification is required for this role.
Current BLS certification or ability to obtain during orientation.
De-escalation training (CPI) within six months of employment where applicable.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, competent patient-centered care under RN or physician supervision.
Assist with activities of daily living and monitor patient needs.
Collaborate with nursing team to ensure quality patient care.
Support service excellence standards in all interactions with patients and families.

Education

High School diploma or GED

CNA certificate

BLS (Basic Life Support)

Job Summary:

Provides safe, competent patient-centered care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The certified nursing assistant provides care under the direction of the registered nurse or physician. Participates as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
Must possess CNA certificate
De-escalation training (obtained CPI within six months of employment) in required specialty.
BLS (or obtained during orientation)
Prefer experience in acute care setting.
