Job summary

Granite Peak Home Health in Kalispell, MT seeks caring Home Health Aides to support patients in their homes. The role reports to the Home Health Director and is supervised by RNs, PTs, OTs, and SLPs, adhering to agency policies and delivering hands-on personal care.

The position emphasizes compassionate care, following directions, and documenting visits promptly. Prior home health or HIPAA awareness are valued, with opportunities for certification pathways for CNAs.

Qualifications

• Must meet Medicare Conditions of Participation for Home Health Aide training program and competency.
• If currently a licensed CNA, Granite Peak Home Health can provide Home Health Certification.
• Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
• Ability to read and write and carry out directions.
• Maturity and ability to handle job demands.

Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures.
• Performs personal care, bath, and hands-on care as assigned.
• Completes visit records in a timely manner per Agency policy.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Performs household services essential to health care in the home.
• Assists with ambulation and exercises as assigned.
• Assists with ROM and other simple procedures as needed.
• Assists with medications ordinarily self-administered.
• Attends in-service and continuing education programs as scheduled.
• Attends patient care conferences as scheduled.
