Job summary

LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau, MN is seeking a part-time, on-site Certified Nursing Assistant to provide nursing and related services to residents in line with each resident’s assessment and plan of care. You will help maintain a homelike environment, protect resident rights and support independence to the greatest extent possible. Location: Roseau Manor.

Shift varies; Schedule: Every other weekend; Hours: 8/wk; FTE: 0.2. Pay rate: $20.00-$26.00/hour.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the State of Minnesota within 4 months of the hire date.
• Regulatory requirements for certified nursing assistant in Minnesota.
• 2+ years of CNA experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Training and experience in geriatric nursing preferred.
• Active on the MN State Nurse Aide registry.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing and related services to residents per the plan of care.
• Maintain a homelike environment and support resident independence.
• Promote resident well-being and satisfaction via resident-centered care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team to implement the plan of care.
• Contribute to team problem solving and support orientation of new staff.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, infection control and equipment readiness.
• Support fiscal viability through efficient use of household resources.
• Demonstrate dementia-sensitive care practices when appropriate.
