Job summary

Kindred Hospital Baldwin Park seeks a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff in patient care at our 91-bed facility. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient comfort, and help prepare rooms and equipment for admissions and procedures.

The role emphasizes compassionate, reliable care, fluent English communication, and coordination with RN/LVN staff. A High School Diploma (or equivalent) and current Nursing Assistant Certification are required, with BLS

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional nursing personnel in providing patient care.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Takes and records vitals and measurements; documents timely.
• Prepares patient rooms and beds for admissions and transfers.
• Assists in patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• Answers patient call lights, telephone, and paging system.
• Performs routine treatment procedures under RN direction.
• Assists with feeding and meal tray service.
