Job summary

Kindred Hospital Baldwin Park seeks a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff in patient care, daily living activities, and emotional support in a 91-bed facility. This role works under the supervision of Registered Nurses to help provide compassionate, high-quality care.

Under RN direction, you will perform routine patient care tasks, document vitals, assist with admissions, transfers and discharge procedures, and help with meals and comfort.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Require regular attendance and reliability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing staff in patient care in assigned area.
• Take vitals and document measurements accurately and timely.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for admissions and transfers.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharge procedures.
• Respond to patient calls and paging system promptly.
• Support with routine treatment procedures under RN direction.
• Assist with feeding and meal tray service.
