Job summary

Lakeland Rehab and Healthcare Center in Kendallville, IN is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct resident care, assist with activities of daily living, and safeguard residents' health, welfare and safety.

You will help with meals and hydration, personal hygiene, mobility, vital signs, documentation, and reporting observations to the nursing team; you will protect privacy under HIPAA and comply with JCAHO/state rules.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state of practice.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding; provide fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Assist in personal hygiene (bedpans, baths, showers) and with mobility and positioning.
• Monitor vital signs and weight; record intake and output information.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Protect privacy and dignity; comply with HIPAA and related laws.
• Follow professional standards and facility policies; participate in education and licensure updates.
