Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (PRN) to provide direct resident care in a Columbus, OH facility. The role supports activities of daily living, lifts and positions residents, and assists with meals and hygiene while adhering to policies and HIPAA requirements.

The CNA works under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, documents care in the EMR, and participates in training and safety initiatives to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred or currently enrolled in a program to achieve preferred education.
• Experience: Two to four years preferred.
• Mental: Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Skills: Must have working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.
• Licensure: Ohio State Tested Nurse Aide license required; Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs/assists with all resident direct care needs and comforts of daily living as needed, including lifting, turning, bathing, dressing, feeding assistance, and restorative care.
• Communicates professionally and effectively; reports changes in condition in a timely manner.
• Assists nurses with tasks such as measuring vitals, weights, charting, and patient care support.
• Documents resident information timely and confidentially in the EMR.
• Ensures adherence to safety, infection control, and resident rights policies.
