The Citadel of Bourbonnais is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team. The CNA aids patients with health care needs, working under a nurse's supervision.

Qualifications

• Good collaboration and teamwork skills with the nursing staff.
• Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Meets all health requirements, as required by law.
• Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.
• Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the nursing staff to ensure coordination of patient care.
• Provide physical support for patients/residents' daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Turn and reposition bedridden patients.
• Ensure proper resident/patient diet based on dietary restrictions.
• Measure and record food and liquid intake.
• Examine patients for open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
• Note and communicate patient/resident behavior and changes in mood.
• Gather medical supplies.
• Clean rooms and bed linens.
• Check and record vital signs under supervision.
• Answer to patient calls and needs.
• Aide patients being transported to and from appointments.
