Job summary

Good Samaritan in Mandan, ND seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, and basic health needs under RN supervision, while ensuring infection control and a compassionate environment.

The role requires CNA certification (or enrollment), 16+ age, and a commitment to ongoing competency and education. Day shifts, 40 hours weekly, with competitive pay and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board, or enrolled within four months of date into the position.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing and maintains 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• When applicable, certified and registered with the UAP Registry.
• May classify as Sanford Category II Driver requiring a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Aid with meals, hydration, and nutrition; document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Support infection control policies and maintain a clean, safe environment.
