Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Nursing Assistant I for the High Point Medical Center - Nursing: Medical Telemetry. The role is full-time (36 hours per week) with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts weekly from 7am to 7pm, including weekend rotation. Applicable state Aide I training and BLS certification are required.

Pay range is $19.80–$29.70 per hour. Benefits eligible, with opportunities to contribute to a high-quality patient care team committed to safety and compassion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of an applicable state Board of Nursing Aide I training program
• Nurse Aide I Registration Division of Facility Services
• Nurse Aide I Registry
• BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' condition and promptly report changes to the licensed nurse
• Obtain and document vital signs, heights, weights, intake/output, specimens, and other patient data
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and comfort measures
• Support treatments and delegated nursing tasks, including glucose monitoring and catheter care
• Provide one-on-one observation and maintain patient safety
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, ambulation, and safe use of mobility equipment
• Prepare meals, assist with feeding, monitor dietary intake and hydration
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests
• Assist with pre/post-operative and other specialized care activities
• Collaborate with nurses and team members during shift changes
• Deliver compassionate, professional, patient-centered care
• Participate in staff meetings and required education to maintain competency
• Adhere to departmental policies and teamwork expectations
• Perform other duties as assigned
