Advocate Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant I for our 12-hour shift unit in High Point, NC. The position involves providing basic patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses in a medical telemetry setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Nurse Aide I program, state registry placement, and BLS certification. 36 hours per week across 3 shifts, with weekend rotation and opportunities for career growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of an applicable Nurse Aide I training program and competency evaluation.
• Nurse Aide I Registration in the state nurse aide registry.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ condition and report changes to the licensed nurse.
• Obtain and document vital signs, heights, weights, intake/output, and specimens.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and comfort measures.
• Support nursing care and delegated tasks including glucose monitoring and catheter care.
• Provide one-on-one patient observation and ensure safety at all times.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and mobility activities.
• Assist with meals, feeding, hydration, and dietary monitoring.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe patient care environments.
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests.
• Collaborate with nurses and team during shift changes.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and participate in education and training.
