Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• HIPAA compliance and safety protocols must be followed.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal communication.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports providers during examinations, procedures, and prenatal care.
• Performs patient intake, including vital signs, medical histories, and assessments.
• Maintains accurate and confidential Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Administers medications, injections (IM, SQ, ID), and vaccinations as directed.
• Conducts phlebotomy, lab specimen collection, and processing.
• Coordinates appointments, referrals, billing, and insurance verification.
• Calls in prescriptions and authorizes refills per provider instructions.
• Upholds HIPAA compliance and a safe clinical environment.
• Provides emotional support and resources for pregnancy-related concerns.
