Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, multitasking and patient care skills.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records (eClinicalworks).
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
• Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
