Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in the daily operations of the office, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate documentation. You will assist with exams, procedures and patient education under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include triage, vitals, EKG and phlebotomy as applicable, with emphasis on respectful patient interaction and thorough medical record keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or three years of relevant healthcare experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification required through NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, ARMA, or HPRUS (will allow 90 days).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with patient care, e.g. exams, procedures and patient education under the supervision of a physician.
• Perform triage, monitor and record vitals of all visiting patients.
• Perform EKG and Phlebotomy, as applicable.
• Ensure medical documentation of office visits.
• Maintain friendly, courteous interactions with patients and staff.
