Job summary

Tenet Florida Physician Services is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in a busy office, ensure efficient patient flow, and assist with exams, procedures and education. The role includes triage and vitals recording, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation under physician supervision.

Responsibilities also cover EKG and phlebotomy tasks where applicable, with emphasis on friendly, courteous patient contact and seamless office operations.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED
• Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
• Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, ARMA, or HPRUS (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office
• Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician
• Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patient
• Perform EKG and Phlebotomy, as applicable
• Ensures medical documentation of office visits
• Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner

Education

Accredited Medical Assisting Program OR 3 years relevant work experience in lieu
