Job summary

Catholic Health Initiatives in Texas is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our care team. You will support screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide health education, and coordinate care for diverse patient populations.

You will collect vitals, assist with specimens, administer medications and vaccines, and help with routine tests such as EKGs, following established standards. Strong clinical knowledge and compassionate teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED upon hire
Certified Medical Assistant credentials listed above upon hire
Basic Life Support (CPR) within 30 days to commence work.

Responsibilities

Perform general patient care following established standards and procedures.
Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
Obtain and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, medications).
Draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis if required.
Administer medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant routes.
May perform routine tests including EKGs.
