Job summary

You will greet patients, record vital signs, assist with procedures, draw blood, prepare specimens, administer medications and vaccines, and help with routine tests like EKGs while keeping patients informed and comfortable.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/ GED upon hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant upon hire or
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant upon hire or
• Certified Medical Assistant AAMA upon hire or
• Certified Medical Assistant NCCT upon hire or
• National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant AMT upon hire or
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problem.
• May draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, or inhalant routes.
• May perform routine tests including EKGs.
