Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support the care team with direct patient care, health education, and administrative coordination. You will collaborate on screenings, assist with procedures, and ensure patients understand instructions, addressing questions with empathy.

The role requires strong clinical knowledge, comfort with technology, and a collaborative, learning-focused attitude to support diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Formal CMA certification or equivalent credentials.
• High school diploma or GED required at hire.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, resp, height, weight).
• May draw blood samples and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Administer medications and vaccines as ordered.
• May perform routine tests including EKGs.
