Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the care team with patient screenings, clinical procedures, health education, and administrative coordination.

The CMA will collect vital signs, assist with procedures, administer medications, and help with routine lab tasks while ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care. Collaboration with clinicians and ongoing learning are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical knowledge and patient interaction are essential.
• Familiar with clinical procedures and vital signs.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, and medications.
• May draw blood and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and inhalant routes.
• May perform routine tests including EKGs.
