Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support care teams with clinical tasks and care coordination. You will contribute to patient well-being through direct care and efficient coordination.

Responsibilities include performing screenings, vital signs, procedures, patient education, and administrative duties while using technology to support diverse patient populations. Strong clinical knowledge and compassionate teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required upon hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the healthcare provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, etc.).
• Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Administer medications and vaccines as ordered (oral, injectable, topical, etc.).
• May perform routine tests such as EKGs.
