Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant at St. Charles Hospital to work closely with the primary care physician and deliver excellent patient care within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Active CMA/RMA/CCMA or equivalent certification is required; ABR-OE acceptable (not in SC).
• 1 year of medical assistant experience is preferred; 2 years clerical in a physician's office is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, basic computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community with excellent customer service.
• Prepare & review patient charts, verify diagnostic tests and hospital reports.
• Measure vital signs like pulse, BP, height, weight.
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, referrals, phone coverage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
