Job summary

Clearview Cancer Institute in north Alabama seeks a Certified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate - Urology to provide clinical and administrative support, ensuring efficient patient care and communication with accuracy and timeliness.

The role includes vital signs, patient rooming, injections, medication updates, and assistance with vasectomy, cystoscopy and biopsy procedures. Proficiency with EMR, Excel, and Teams is expected, with CMA and BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and BLS certification preferred.
• 1 year medical office experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and EKG.
• Room patients and prepare for examination.
• Obtain/update patient medication information.
• Administer injections and manage prescriptions.
• Assist in vasectomy, cystoscopy, and biopsy procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and manage clinical supplies.
• Manage referrals and prior authorizations for meds/radiology.
• Utilize EMR, Teams, Excel, and other hospital EMRs.
• Provide excellent patient-facing service.
