Job summary

Clearview Cancer Institute in north Alabama is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate – Urology to support doctors and patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will perform vital signs, EKGs, patient prep and assist with procedures while maintaining accurate records and coordinating care with the team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; medical office experience preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant with BLS certification.
• 1 year medical office or medical secretary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and EKG.
• Prepare patients for examination and update medications.
• Assist in vasectomy, cystoscopy and biopsy procedures.
• Administer injections and authorize prescription refills as directed by physicians.
• Utilize EMR System, Microsoft Teams, Excel and other hospital EMRs; perform clerical duties.
