Clearview Cancer Institute in north Alabama is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate - Urology to provide clinical and administrative support, ensuring efficient patient care management and accurate communication with physicians and patients.

You will support doctors and patients through vitals, exams prep, medication management, injections, and refills, while utilizing EMR systems and maintaining strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical office experience (1 year preferred).
• Certified Medical Assistant.
• BLS Certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsabilidades

• Take and record vital signs and EKG.
• Room patients.
• Prepare patients for examination.
• Obtain and update patient medication.
• Administer injections.
• Authorize prescription refills as directed by physicians.
• Assist in vasectomy, cystoscopy and biopsy procedures.
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Clinical supply inventory.
• Collect urine and blood specimens.
• Manage scheduling and prior authorizations for meds, radiology, labs.
• Utilize EMR systems, Microsoft Teams, and other hospital EMRs.
• Greet patients and engage with providers and staff.
• Check in/out patients.
• Clerical duties.
• Cover Madison and Huntsville locations as needed.
