Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant with BLS certification.
  • Medical office experience (1 year preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Take and record vital signs and EKG.
  • Room patients and prepare for examination.
  • Update patient medications and administer injections.
  • Assist in vasectomy, cystoscopy and biopsy procedures.
  • Sterilize surgical instruments and manage instrumentation.
  • Collect urine and blood specimens.
  • Coordinate surgical scheduling and prior authorizations.
  • Process refills, lab orders and results in EMR.
  • Provide customer service and check-in/check-out
  • Handle clerical duties and cover Madison/Huntsville sites.
