Job summary

Advocare LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join its healthcare team in a clinical setting. The CMA will provide high-quality direct patient care and support to providers through clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires proficiency in routine clinical procedures, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care for individuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification or registration is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical or medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist during exams and procedures.
• Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and lab preparation.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation.
• Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, verifying insurance, scheduling, and processing referrals.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and perform equipment upkeep.
• Prepare and disinfect examination and treatment rooms.
• Provide patient education and transmit physician instructions.
• Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
