Job summary

Wellington Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will assist with medication administration, monitor residents, and support daily living activities while upholding dignity and comfort.

You will collaborate with nursing staff and other professionals to ensure safe, coordinated care, maintain accurate records, and contribute to individualized care plans. CMA certification and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Medication Aide certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents with assistance as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nursing staff in administering medications and treatments to residents in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Monitor and record vital signs, medication administration, and other relevant information.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of well-being and comfort.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and timely communication.
