Job summary

Wellington Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our dedicated team. You will assist with medication administration, monitor residents, and support daily activities while ensuring dignity and comfort.

In this role you will collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to provide timely, person-centered care and contribute to individualized care plans in a supportive, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Current CMA certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents with assistance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nursing staff in administering medications and treatments to residents according to protocols.
• Monitor and record vital signs, medication administration, and other relevant information.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting well-being and comfort.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and timely communication.
