Job summary

Altru Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The position supports admission/discharge processes and assists with basic cares, transports, and transfers as needed.

Responsibilities include recognizing changes in a patient’s condition and communicating them promptly to the supervising nurse. Proficiency in English is required for patient and team communication.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Nurse Aide Certification required and BLS/Heartsave CPR acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in admission and discharge processes.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the nurse.
• Perform basic care tasks and assist with patient transfers as directed.
