Job summary

Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist with admissions and discharges, perform physician-delegated tasks, and help identify changes in a patient’s condition.

The role includes basic care, transporting patients, and transfers, with a typical schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 7:45 am to 5:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide certification within the required timeframe.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of start.
• Proficient reading, writing and speaking English for workplace communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist admissions and discharges under licensed nurse supervision.
• Perform physician order-based tasks within delegation.
• Identify and report changes in patient condition to the nurse promptly.
• Provide basic care and assist with transporting and transferring patients.
