Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking an experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team in Sonora, CA. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing personal care and comfort tasks to support our patients and families.

We value compassion, integrity, and respect. The role includes collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs and ensure dignity in care. Must live in Sonora or surrounding areas and be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA certification; California residents must have HHA in good standing.
• One year of experience in community health/hospice or medical/surgical environments preferred.
• Must have completed minimum 75 hours classroom and supervised practical training.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks after patient assignment and respond promptly to requests.
• Provide patient and family with respectful communication and confidentiality.
• Maintain safety in patient care and proper use of equipment.
• Assist with baths, oral hygiene, grooming, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with dressing, meals planning, and feeding as assigned.
• Take and record vital signs when ordered and with demonstrated skills.
