Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a Child & Family Services Case Manager for the Eastern Iowa Service Area, based out of Burlington. This full-time role involves coordinating services for families, conducting monthly in-home visits, and supporting permanency planning to ensure safe, loving homes.

The position emphasizes engagement, advocacy, crisis management, and collaboration with partners, with telework possible after probation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in social services.
• Four years of full-time technical work with direct contact helping people overcome problems.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and safety factors affecting children and families in various settings.
• Schedule and conduct monthly in-home visits with parents and children.
• Complete timely documentation, including case notes and court reports; attend court hearings as required.
• Respond to crisis situations with urgency and provide stabilizing interventions.
• Collaborate with legal professionals, law enforcement, treatment providers, and other partners.
• Manage a diverse caseload with flexibility and analytical reasoning.
