Job summary
At Peace Healthcare Agency is hiring compassionate Caregivers / Personal Care Assistants (PCA) to provide one-on-one, non-medical personal care and companionship in clients’ homes. The role supports dignity and independence while helping seniors and adults with disabilities remain in their familiar environments.
The ideal candidate has 1 year of personal care experience, reliable transportation, and is able to pass background checks.
Qualifications
- 1 year of personal care experience preferred
- Proof of TB testing required
- Must be physically able to perform duties
- Reliable transportation required
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance often needed
- Criminal background and fingerprint checks may be required
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one, non-medical personal care and companionship in clients' homes
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
- Meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment
- Offer companionship and support to promote independence and social engagement
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe movement around the home
- Provide medication reminders per care plan and assist with transportation to appointments
