Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Mississippi is seeking an Entry-Level Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities in a warm, home-like setting. This PRN role offers flexible shifts and the chance to build meaningful connections as you help residents feel safe, comfortable, and respected.

You’ll work with a caring team, provide ADL assistance, monitor resident well-being, document care, and support a welcoming community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR and BLS certifications are a plus and training is available.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity.
• Monitor resident safety and observe for signs of distress or changes in condition.
• Accurately document resident care, activities, and changes as required.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs.
• Engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well‑being.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
